How do I get health insurance?

If you search the Internet with the question: How do I get health insurance? You will be thrown into a world of huge insurance companies competing with generic ads and offering the "soup of the day insurance special" as if you're visiting a greasy diner. 

These companies either offer prepackaged marketplace health insurance options, the ACA plans "Obama Care Plans" which are available either through the federal website or some state specific website. Here, they have their own health insurance marketplace where you can apply. In these top searches, gigantic insurance companies are pitching their products and boasting how great each of their plans are for you. 

Here is the problem: These big companies don't really care what is important to you and the needs of your family. Their arrogant prepackaged insurance plans are usually take it or leave it. In general. most people hate everything about shopping and using health Insurance. The big companies dictate and mandate everything that we get and don't get. Many Americans don't have adequate health insurance for this exact reason. You pay in all of that money in and you never know what's in it for you. The value is never clear. 

With all the subsidized government plans or free Medicaid state options out there, you would think everyone in this great country would be covered and happy as hell.

• Did any of these big box health insurance companies with their national advertisements and confusing websites ask us for any input?
• Did they bother to ask us anything?
• Did they ask us any questions about our health?
• Did they ask us about our families?
• Did they ask us about our unique needs or what we want?
• Did they ask us what we don't want?
• Did they ask us what we don't like about health insurance companies?
• Did they ask us what benefits we can't live without?
• Did they ask us what we do for a living?
• Did they ask us what we like to do for fun?

Nope. They don't know a single thing about us or our lifestyle. The health insurance coverage process is seriously messed up. Yet, most of us put up with it.
